Design Engineer (m/f/d)

We are expanding our product range with the acquisition of EFP International B.V. in Marum, Netherlands. EFP is a specialist in high-quality aluminium window and façade systems made from thermally broken and non-thermally broken aluminum profiles. Their product range includes curtain walls, stick and unitized systems, louvre and shading profiles, skylight systems, windows, doors, sliding doors and windows, and cladding substructures.

We are looking for a Design Engineer (m/f/d) for EFP.

Your tasks

  • Development and design of system profiles for facades, skylights, windows and doors, taking into account wind load, water resistance, static requirements, design, budget and technical feasibility
  • Independent project planning based on the customer order
  • Contact person for customers, architects and/or consultants for facade projects
  • Concept creation according to customer requirements, taking into account the available materials, the preferences of the facade builders and the suitability of the building
  • Creation and development of detailed technical drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) in accordance with project specifications
  • Assisting in project lifecycle management, from design to production and beyond

Tasks of daily business

  • Checking and reviewing drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency with design requirements
  • Managing changes and updates to drawings, keeping track of revisions
  • Preparation of technical reports and presentations for internal teams and customers
  • Ensure that drawings comply with quality standards and applicable technical regulations
  • Collaboration with design engineers to translate concepts and ideas into accurate working drawings
  • Preparing technical documentation, including assembly drawings, part drawings, and supporting documentation

Your profile

  • Senior secondary vocational/higher education or equivalent ability
  • Preferably 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.)
  • Knowledge of English (both written and spoken)
  • Technical understanding of the facade industry
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Very well-structured and organized way of working
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Knowledge of design standards and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
